Workshops for elementary and high school students are offered once or twice a year, usually early in the calendar year and in the summer. The workshops are for elementary and high school students. They are free and are given by artists in the region who are committed to the artistic development of youth. Autour d’une exposition, April 15 – 17, 2008 A workshop held in cooperation with the Val-des-cerfs School Board to introduce participants to the work of a Quebec artist and create art based on what they have learned. This year, elementary school students from Sutton School will become familar with the art, work methods, techniques and vision of the artist Francine Denault, a local painter. The School Brightens the Village (dates to be announced) A new initiative: an actively creative workshop for pupils at the Sutton elementary school, led by artists who are members of the Gallery. Prizes will be awarded and the artwork by the children will be displayed in shops in the village. The workshop will be organized once funding is secured. |
